The Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office and the Ruston Police Department need your help to solve the following crimes.  If you have any information about these crimes please call Crime Stoppers at 255-1111 or submit a web tip with your information.  We don't want your name - just your information.  You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.


12/7/2011 - DESECRATION OF TOMBSTONES - DOUGLAS CEMETERY

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff`s Office is investigating the destruction and damage to a number of tombstones at the Douglas Cemetery that occurred this past weekend.   This despicable act caused damage to twelve (12) grave markers that dated back as much as 177 years.   All of the tombstones were very old.     The Douglas Cemetery is located on Hwy 821 in the quiet Douglas Community.   Your help is needed to identify the suspect or suspects responsible of this despicable act of grave desecration.

7/27/2011 - SIMPLE BURGLARY OF FASTENAL

The Ruston Police Department is investigating the burglary of FASTENAL at 1708 East Kentucky Avenue and need your help in identifying the suspect.  This crime occurred during the late night hours of July 16th, 2011 when the suspect(s) broke out a glass door to gain entry into the building.  The suspect seen in this picture is wanted for questioning.    If you have any information about this crime please submit a tip to Ruston-Lincoln Crime Stoppers.

1/22/2011 - Theft of Bronze Vases

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff`s Office is investigating the theft of Bronze Vases that have occurred over the past few weeks at local cemeteries.   In recent weeks approximately eighty (80) vases have been taken from grave sites at Grambling Memorial Gardens on Hwy 80 and George Washington Carver Cemetery on MLK Avenue in Ruston.    Your help is needed to identify the suspect or suspects responsible of this despicable act of grave desecration.

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking your help in identifying the subject in these pictures.   This subject committed a residential burglary on September 2, 2010.   If you have information as to the identity of this suspect or about this crime please contact Ruston/Lincoln Crime Stoppers.

6/23/2010 - Simple Burglary of Pizza Hut

The Ruston Police Department is investigating the burglary of Pizza Hut at 1103 North Trenton.  This crime occurred during the late night hours of June 22nd or early morning hours of June 23rd, 2010.  The suspect(s) broke out a glass window to gain entry into the building.  If you have any information about this crime please submit a tip to Ruston-Lincoln Crime Stoppers.

6/18/2010 - Theft of Welding Machines at Tractor Supply

The Ruston Police Department is investigating the theft of several welding machine taken from Tractor Supply on June 18th, 2010.  The suspects in this daring crime severed the security cable and stole three welding machines.  The suspects in this crime are a white male and white female driving a gray Dodge pickup truck with Texas license plates.  If you have any information about this crime please submit a tip to Ruston-Lincoln Crime Stoppers.

2/22/2010 - Mysterious Death

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains that were located in a wooded area west of Ruston, LA on September 22, 2008.  The Louisiana State University Forensic Anthropology Enhancement Service was contacted and with their assistance the remains have been positively identified by DNA as Efren Manuel Garcia, Jr.     Mr. Garcia was reported missing in February 2008 and the remains were located in September 2008.   Mr. Garcia would have been 50 years old when he disappeared and had lived in the Ruston area since about 2003.  At this time the Medical Examiner has not determined a cause of death.  Anyone with information about Mr. Garcia or his disappearance is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 255-1111 or submit a web tip with your information.

2/14/2010 - Residential Burglary

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff`s Office is looking for any clues to the identity of those responsible for a residential burglary that occurred in the 800 Block of Frazier Road on Sunday, February 14, 2009.   Taken in the burglary were two (2) 32" televisions.

1/13/2010 - Residential Burglary

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff`s Office is looking for any clues to the identity of those responsible for a residential burglary that occurred in the 100 block of Trace Drive on Wednesday, January 13, 2009.   Several items were taken in this burglary including jewelry, a laptop computer, a camera and a 27" television.

12/11/2009 - Murder of Christopher Tillman

The Ruston Police are conducting an investigation into the murder of a local resident that occurred on December 11, 2009.  Ruston Police responded to the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Dunn Street around 3:00PM after receiving a report of a body being found near that location.   The victim was identified as Christopher Tillman, 36, of Ruston.   Evidence at the scene indicated that the cause of death was intentional and the case is being handled as a homicide.

9/30/2009 - Burglary of Clinic Pharmacy

In the early morning hours of September 30, 2009 the Ruston Police Department responded to the Clinic Pharmacy at 604 Belue Lane in Ruston in response to a burglary.   Ruston Police discovered that the suspects had thrown an object through a glass window to gain access to the building.  A number of pharmaceutical items were taken in this daring burglary.  If you have any information about this crime please submit an anonymous tip.

5/9/2009 - Murder of Kevin Foster

The Ruston Police Department is investigating the murder of 37 year old Ruston resident, Kevin Dewayne Foster.   On May 9, 2009 Ruston Police received a call about a shooting in the 1200 Block of Alpine Street and responded to discover Kevin was shot by an unknown suspect in the front yard of his residence on Alpine Street in Ruston.  Kevin was transported to the hospital and died there a short time later.

7/12/2004 - Murder of Tyrone Vereen

The Ruston Police are conducting an investigation into the murder of a local resident that occurred on July 12, 2004.    Ruston Police responded to the 600 Block of McDonald Ave to a reported shooting.   The victim was identified as Tyrone Vereen, 31, of Ruston.

12/9/2003 - Murder of Jonas Turner Kirkpatrick

The Ruston Police are conducting an investigation into the murder of a local resident that occurred on December 9, 2003.    Ruston Police responded to the 1400 Block of Benton Street to a reported shooting.   The victim was identified as Jonas Turner Kirkpatrick, 24, of Ruston.
